METRON srl is and Italian private company founded in 1996. The headquarters are located in Mosciano Sant’Angelo (close to the border of Marche-Abruzzo regions, just a few kilometres from the coast, and 30 km from Pescara airport)
It has representative offices in Rome and Brussels and operational offices in Madrid, Bucharest and, more recently, in Abu Dhabi.
Metron employs about 20 stable collaborators and is supported by external experts in the management of various projects.
Metron was originally established as a consultancy company providing services for Public Administrations in areas such as Environment, Safety in the workplace and Quality (Metron itself is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000). In any case, its present main activity is the drawing-up and management of EU projects.
Currently, Metron is involved in over 30 EU projects and cooperates with more than 160 partners from 29 European countries as well as and extra-European ones.
Metron has had higher success in the field of INNOVATION: in the latest European call for proposals for the RIS NAC (Regional Innovation Strategies for New Associated Countries), METRON won 7 out of 33 EU financed projects (3 in Romania, 2 in the Slovak Republic, 1 in Bulgaria and 1 in Switzerland). Moreover, it is involved in other two RIS projects on innovation.

Metron steadily cooperates with regional authorities and with important public and private local development agencies.
Metron’s General Manager, Ercole Cauti, has been a member of IRE Steering Committee (Innovating Regions in Europe – network including more than 200 European regions for Innovation) for over 5 years.
Innovation (in process, products and mostly in methodology) is the key-connection in all projects presented and managed by Metron.
Projects are usually managed and monitored according to ISO 9001 Quality Standards. In fact, Metron possesses and implements a wide range of procedures and models, offered to its partners as well.
Metron has recently structured and systemized internalization activities for SMEs.
Metron has started from the statement that, very often, generalist traditional systems for internationalization (ICE, Chambers of Commerce, Showrooms, Exhibitions, etc…) have difficulty in being able to detect the specific elements necessary to the development of some territories (especially in new associated countries).
METRON sets off from deep knowledge and SWOT analysis of the regions, detects – together with local actors – the most interesting sectors, and subsequently searches for potential investors in Italy. Once presented the socio-economic and the law scenario of possible EU funds to the aforesaid investors, Metron organizes specific meetings with the Local Authorities.
Undoubtedly, METRON offers assistance to investors in the phase of first approach, as well as in the phase of realization of the investment, by means of both feasibility studies and support in the obtainment and management of EU Funds.
